Sigma Chi and the Dallas Alumni Chapter - commitment to philanthropy

Sigma Chi Alumni demonstrate their commitment to Sigma Chi by volunteering their time to enhance the experience of undergraduate brothers. Alumni volunteers provide housing, advise chapter officers, and serve as personal and professional mentors. Our Brothers are also the most philanthropic-minded alumni in the Greek World, and we support many worthy organizations and fundraising endeavors, both nationally and locally.

the DAC’s L. Wayne Tucker, Jr. Jordan Standard Leadership SCHOLARSHIP

The Sigma Chi Dallas Alumni Chapter is honored to announce the endowment of the L. Wayne Tucker, Jr. Jordan Standard Leadership Award through the Sigma Chi Foundation, to recognize 66th Grand Consul, Order of Constantine and Significant Sig Wayne Tucker, BAYLOR 1985, for his over 36 years of exemplary leadership as a Sigma Chi brother. 

In honor of Wayne Tucker’s influence and legacy, this fund will award undergraduate brothers who exhibits the seven characteristics of the Jordan Standard of Sigma Chi, with zeal and fervor, hold leadership roles in their chapter or on their campus, and maintain a strong GPA. The fund was started in the Fall of 2022, and was endowed in the Spring of 2023.

On behalf of the Dallas Alumni Chapter, we are honored to invite all Sigs as well as family/friends of Wayne to assist in the support and awareness of this award and fund. All Honor to His Name.

DALLAS SIGMA CHI Wayne Tucker MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT      

Join us on the links in our annual Wayne Tucker Memorial Golf Tournament, benefitting the L. Wayne Tucker, Jr. Jordan Standard Leadership Scholarship. The inaugural tournament was held May 18, 2024 and raised over $12,000 with 87 registered golfers and a dozen sponsors and volunteers.  This marquis event will be held annually each spring, so ssemble your foresome, or enjoy meeting your teammates for the first time - either way, let’s play!

 

As we are able financially...

We assist a deserving undergraduate chapter with contributions to a capital investment program. Previous undergrad chapter recipients include: SMU, TCU, University of North Texas, UT-Arlington, Sam Houston State, Tarleton State, Stephen F. Austin State, Texas A&M Commerce, and the University of Oklahoma.

Huntsman Cancer Institute's mission is to understand cancer from its beginnings, to use that knowledge in the creation and improvement of cancer treatments, to relieve the suffering of cancer patients, and to provide education about cancer risk, prevention, and care.
